IT Department
Under the direction of Serhiy Morhun, the Information Technology (IT) Department is responsible for technology support to the staff and students of Ridgewood Public Schools.

New RPS Website

On December 9, 2016, the IT Department launched a new district website. Highlights of the new site include:

  • New mobile friendly design that adapts to the screen of the device  it is being viewed on
  • Fresh, modern look
  • Improved content structure, so you will be able to access information easier than ever before!
  • Updated information
  • Additional language translations

Chromebooks Distributed to Middle School and High School Students

Each September, new high school Freshmen students are very excited to received their Chromebooks! All middle school students also receive new Chromebooks, expanding 1:1 access to all students in grades 6 - 12. The IT department does preliminary work labeling, scanning, attaching covers and boxing the Chromebooks by class. The students are asked to logon and get familiar with the features of the Chromebook and if there are questions, IT support staff is always on hand and available.

Technology Coaches are a Resource for Teachers

Since September, 2014 teachers have been able to learn more about technology and improve their skills with the support of a technology coach. Each school has either one or two technology coaches for presenting new technology with staff development training.
